Well, I wasn't actually alive then, but I've talked to people who were. The moon landing in 1969 was one of humanity's greatest achievements. There were actually six moon landings between 1969 and 1972, and every single one was incredible.

The Technology Was Primitive

Here's what blows my mind: the computers that guided those spacecraft were weaker than a modern calculator. The Apollo guidance computer had less processing power than a singing greeting card! Yet we put people on the moon.
