Most Are Tiny

There are millions of asteroids in our solar system, mostly in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. Most are tiny - just a few meters across. But some are huge!

The Big Ones

Ceres is the largest asteroid, about 580 miles across - big enough to be a dwarf planet. Vesta is about 326 miles across. These are pretty rare in terms of total numbers.
